Uncle Kawaiola's Dream: A Hawaiian Story is a heartwarming children’s story about the restoration of an ancient Hawaiian taro patch and the life lessons that flow from it. The story will help readers connect with Hawaiʻi and Hawaiian culture, and is for young and old alike. It was written by my father, Victor Pellegrino, and is loosely based on the restoration of Nohoʻana Farm, our family’s kalo farm in Waikapū, Maui.

Nominated for Ka Palapala Poʻokela Award for Excellence in Hawaiian Culture.

Autographed by author Victor Pellegrino. Illustrated by Big Island artist Linda Rowell Stevens.

"The enriching story of Uncle Kawaiola's Dream helps us all continue to strive for a better community, environment, and self-awareness of our "Hawaiianness." The lessons of laulima, lōkahi, paepae, and ʻohana help us all." --Kumu Kaponoʻai Molitau
